Killer Magazine does it again and gives music lovers something to genuinely enjoy when it comes to music literature.  This month’s issue brings bluegrass back into the mix and explains how Billy Strings saved the genre of music for the next generation.  Veteran bluegrass groups, Yonder Mountain String Band, The String Cheese Incident, and Steve Martin and Edie Brickell are also presented to solidify that there’s a bluegrass revolution going on and it’s cool as can be.

After this, Killer Magazine takes a deep inside look at punk rock and determines that it hasn’t died or sold out, but returned to its roots and had no choice but to use mainstream media to have the subculture’s voice heard regarding who and what the punks stand for.  Moving on to the debate about Green Day and their punk roots, Killer Magazine ends the debate about Green Day not being a punk band—because they’re an authentic punk group.  After this, we look at three punk bands in the local scene in three different states.

Next, we represent three hip-hop artists that deserve more respect for making great rap music.  In this day and age, the genre is having a tough time presenting quality hip-hop artists.  Killer Magazine helps hip-hop fans by showing them how these three artists are helping maintain real rap music.

K-pop is all the new craze.  It’s more than music.  It’s a training camp and enormous money maker for the music industry.  Killer Magazine showcases six K-pop groups at the top of the genre.

Current alternative music is missing that rawness like we got in the ‘90s.  The article discusses this and infers that newer bands with an edginess need to be discovered.

Finally, we embrace Flea’s new jazz album and let everyone know how awesome it is.

Turning to the political article, California is in dire straits and needs external help.  What we thought was bad turned out to be much worse in the state.  The article discusses the Left’s lack of concern for lifetime Californians and what needs to be done to change the state for the better.
